Bruce Bauer
October 31, 1956 - June 2, 2018

Bruce Sheldon Bauer, age 61, of Johnsburg passed away on June 2, 2018 at the Cross Roads Care Center in Woodstock Illinois. 

He was born in Chicago on October 31, 1956 to Sheldon and Annelise Bauer. 

He is survived by his son, Matthew (Amanda) Bauer; two grandchildren, Lillian and Henry Bauer; his mother, Annelise Bauer; a brother, Paul (Susan) Bauer of Huntley; a sister, Karen (James) Lafontaine of Spring Grove; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Sheldon. 

Bruce graduated from McHenry High School in 1975. He was employed in his father's landscape business and as a truck driver for Hughes construction for many years. He additionally owned a cartage company (Yukon Trucking) prior to his retirement in 2010. He loved his son and grandchildren. Bruce enjoyed many outdoor activities such as fishing, kayaking and cutting the grass. He also enjoyed cooking and was especially known for his lasagna. 

A memorial service is not planned. The family will hold a private celebration of Bruce's life with a scattering of his ashes at a later date.
